We’re really excited to preview the first music from the forthcoming RVLVR & Ben O’Neill project, out December 1st.

You all should be familiar with RVLVR from his releases on this label, as well as Seclusiais and other imprints. However, Ben O’Neill may be a name you don’t recognize. Ben met James (aka RVLVR) when as undergrads at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts; so this project has been a long time in the making. For the past few years, O’Neill has been flexing his guitar skills on the road with the likes of John Legend, Jill Scott and Kanye West (amongst others).

Check out the group’s take on drum & bass (?) with Fade Away courtesy of Walmer Convenience.

Mikronesia’s new hour-long ambient work Dissolve is released next Friday, November 10th. But today, you can hear a 2 minute excerpt from the prolific composer’s new music.

Dissolve was recorded and produced during Mikronesia’s recent artist residency at Liebig12 in Berlin. It is intended to be listened to as a still sonic journey lying or sitting down. But it can also be used as a soundtrack to yoga, meditation or inner/outer exploration.

Preview it below and immerse yourself in it fully next week.

NOREMIXES regular contributor Joo Won Park has been in collaboration mode lately. And this complete album of material with saxophonist and electronic musician Molly Jones is just one of this prolific composer’s recent explorations. Here’s a quick taste of the recording sessions behind Park Jones. Album coming soon.

Shell Money is the moniker of Wyncote-based producer/engineer Zach Goldstein.  Zach is well known for his engineering skills as studio manager and engineer at Kawari Sound, however, with the release of Family Tapes 89-93, his debut album, his production and songwriting is on display.

Riddled with foundsound home recordings, Family Tapes 89-93, sounds neither nostalgic or celebratory, but somehow autobiographical, …even if the childhood recordings are not.  Throughout, the hiss and scratch of two familiar voices provides a foundation for Goldstein to layer synthesizers, samples, guitars and percussion. You really just need to hear it.

Preview Brand New Day below, and hear the entire album this Friday, September 29th, when it is released.
