WXPN The Key’s John Morrison sat down with RVLVR, Ben O’Neill and Starkey to discuss the upcoming RVLR & Ben O’Neill collaborative Stiff Upper Lip EP, released this Friday, December 1st. They discuss the creative process of making this release, working with analog signal processing and a hardware mellotron, influences and more. Alongside the interview, they’re also premiering another track from the release, Stardust, which Starkey called “one of the best songs of the year, hands down.” Check out the full interview here. We’re really excited to announce the NORESIDENCY release series!
This past Spring we did a residency at Philly’s The Art Dept; early evening, intimate concerts which we also recorded. We’ll be releasing a series of them starting next week, July 15th. They will be pay-what-you-want on Bandcamp, streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and for sale on iTunes and other stores for a very small amount. (Basically making them available in as many ways as possible!)

by ·Comments Off on February 26th Sees New ghostinthehills Album and NOREMIXES NORESIDENCY in Philadelphia
Our first release of 2016 is the first full-length album from Philadelphia-based producer, ghostinthehills. The album is released February 26th. Still Life in Grey Scale follows 2015’s Elegy EP, which set a tone for ghostinthehills’ musical direction which develops and matures on Still Life in Grey Scale. The album weaves synthesis, found sound and piano into a tapestry of tone colors.
You can now pre-order the album on our bandcamp page. You’ll receive the opening track, ‘Constant Stream of Information’ as well as another track ‘Submerge’ instantly. Preview both below!
On the day of its release, NOREMIXES will be starting a 4th Friday residency at Philadelphia’s Art Dept. ghostinthehills will celebrate with a record release party joined by Starkey and Brian McBrearty. Tickets are available at the Art Dept. website.

The video of RVLVR’s live set for Philadelphia-based Podcast, Paper Box Sessions, is now available to view on YouTube (see below). RVLVR was joined by Starkey for the session which included music from the ‘Astral EP’ as well as some new material (including his remix for Oh! Pears forthcoming on ‘ONLYEMIXES Vol. 1’.
The duo also recorded an interview podcast which can be streamed/downloaded here. They discuss the Philly music scene, meeting back in the day, NOREMIXES and other topics.
